Lapis Lazuli has been prized in the Middle East for thousands of years for its intense colour. The strength of the blue is enhanced by specks of Pyrite, also known as 'fool's gold', and by beads of Pyrite to either side. This striking necklace makes a real impact and the hexagonal shape of the fastener reflects the significance of geometry in the art of the region.
Lapis Lazuli and Pyrite beads (8mm) and two flat pieces of Lapis Lazuli (larger piece approx 36 x 32mm)
Sterling silver hexagonal toggle clasp
